Pete Cumming

Vice President System Engineering

Pete is responsible for all system engineering, driver and audio development activities.

Pete joined Icera in 2003 as Director, Silicon Systems and Verification, playing an instrumental role in the development of Icera's Livanto® soft modem architecture. He was made Director, System Engineering in 2007 and was promoted to the executive team as Vice President System Engineering in January 2009.

Prior to Icera, Pete was Architecture Manager for OMAP chips at Texas Instruments for three years, where he led a team responsible for architecting three generations of platforms which form the basis of OMAP 72x, 73x, 16xx, 17xx and OMAP2 devices. As well as developing the architecture and IP, Pete directed the team supporting lead customers and software developers as well as providing hands on support for the design and verification teams. He started his career as a CPU designer at SGS Microelectronics and also developed fixed function DSP for hard disk drives at Analog Devices before joining Texas Instruments’ ASIC application team then transferring to the Wireless Business’ OMAP development. Pete has a B Eng in Electronic Engineering (1st class) from the University of Sheffield.
